Landscape and wildlife photography from the Augstmatthorn in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Starting the ascent at 3:30 a.m., I reached the ridge before the sunrise and documented the changing alpine light, dramatic mountain scenery, and native wildlife, including Alpine ibex and chamois.
