Photography is not the act of documenting reality. It is the act of interpreting it.
Before any commission begins, a question must be answered: what is the image trying to say? Not what should it show — but what should it communicate. The difference between the two determines everything that follows.
Great photography is rooted in attention to detail, refined aesthetics and precise timing. It demands patience, knowledge of light and the ability to stay invisible long enough for a moment to become itself. This is the standard Zeitrafferei works to. Every time. Without exception.

Zeitrafferei is not an agency. It is one photographer working independently — from the first conversation to the final delivery. Every project receives full personal attention, from planning and location scouting to editing and archiving.
I am working across architecture, sports, corporate events, commercial photography and wildlife. The range is deliberate — each discipline develops a different kind of visual intelligence that feeds back into the others.
Based in Switzerland, working internationally. Fluent in German, English, and the visual language that needs neither.

Photography that feels accidental is rarely an accident. It is the result of a process that stays invisible.

Observe
Before the camera is raised, the environment must be understood. Light direction, shadow depth, the quality of the air. Observation is where most images are made — or missed.

Understand
What is the subject communicating? What must the image carry without words? Understanding the purpose of a photograph determines every subsequent decision.

Compose
Composition is not arrangement. It is the deliberate use of space, proportion and negative area to direct attention. Every element in the frame is either intentional or a mistake.

Capture
The shutter is pressed only when the moment earns it. Not before. Not to increase the odds. One precise frame is worth more than a thousand approximations.
